Piero Fornasetti was an Italian artist and designer, known for his endless creative flair. His inventiveness made him one of the most prolific figures of the 20th century, and difficult to ascribe to a specific movement. His style is characterised by rich and opulent decorative patterns that make his pieces a real treasure to find and cherish.
This pair of enamelled table lamps in white features red cameos of Roman emperors and slightly larger cameos with the likenesses of 18th century figures. The lacquered, cylindrical base of the lamps is made of metal and the technique used to print on it is called silk-screen.
